God’s Knot Wedding Ritual

INTERFAITH A beautiful (Christian) ritual but could represent any Deity /God that can easily be added into any wedding ceremony, the Gods knot is a symbolic ritual showing the individual is stronger with God at the center of the marriage.I love the braiding together, you could definitely add language about how the marriage makes you stronger because there are two of you, and like making a rope, you braid together to make the strand stronger, great way to add “family” into the symbol. Kids, an unborn child, parents, friends, the church you’re members of…  also a moving way to incorporate people who have passed on. ” we believe though Tom is no longer with us, as his daughter braids this knot, we know his presence here adds strength to the braid. ”

When I perform this ceremony I like to start by holding the ring, in reflection of the spiritual side of the marriage, then I pass the rope to the spouse, where they together finish the braid. then I have one tie a knot at the end.  all while I speak softly to them how much stronger they are together with god at the center of their relationship. and this governs how you act and behave. A really neat LGBTQ ritual too. could use rainbow colors, colors of the wedding, or your favorite colors.

when they are finished, out loud for the guests to hear, you have exchanged vows and declared their love for each other. You wear rings symbolizing this commitment, Look at your ring and remember putting it on.  Pause  And through your unification, your friends and families are now one. Joined because of your love. For your Lord Jesus Christ, God the father, and creator of all things, has created love, and because of your faith your love is divine, in perfect love and perfect trust.  That means old ways must move into the background as you plan your future together. And know that two Christians that are bound together in holly marriage through Christ are stronger than the individual themselves. The Cord of Three Strands is a symbol of that sacred union created on your wedding day. You, your soon to be spouse, and God. It was God who taught us to love. By keeping Him at the center of your marriage, His love will continue to bind you together as one throughout your lifetime.
